Hey, all! I *finally* created my alt on Corbantis. I like to RP so he ended up being the father of my main. Anyway, not wanting to really grind a craft profession and liking the social aspect of SWG, I took up entertainer. It is an enjoyable profession and fits the character's background. My main is a BH and I am always running into the afk entertainers. As a BH, they don't bother me. I can run in, get healed up, tip, and split.
But now that I'm on the other side, the afk entertainers are annoying
I mean, I'm trying to earn a living and enjoy the cantina but now I have to listen to uberspam about buffing, player city cantinas, and vehicles for sale (don't ask...). My plan was to macro through the music line to get musician and probably macro that. Forget that, now. I gotta respect the other hard working entertainers, too.
I'm not looking for an "atta-boy," I just wanted to say I'll be at the keyboard, putting my time in

Thanks for having the respect to at least try it Live before going to AFK macroing.
I'm glad you're enjoying your time.

Again, welcome to the Entertainer professions!
Thanks for posting here. So many folks only see the minute or two of the cantina while they're getting healed/buffed, so they don't consider constant spam in there to be a problem. Those of us trying to make our living in there know the truth of it
I'm glad you've decided to actually play the profession, rather than AFK it. You'll have so much more fun, you'll actually learn the profession, and it'll actually mean something to you when you've finally earned that Master title.
If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, feel free to post. We'll do the best we can to help out.

Welcome to entertaining. Look for me in Theed cantina most evenings US Central time. I'm always glad to work with any level of ATK performer. I'm usually part of a small ATK group so you will have someone to chat with.

There are a lot of great things about levelingmusician while ATK besides respect and "paying your dues" (the things least important to me). When you hit master, unlike the AFKers, you'll know what flos have a starwars theme and which flos compliment them, which song sounds reggae with the right instrument combination, which song just screams for a horn, where to pause the rest of the band and slip in a nice drum solo. Not to mention that you'll learnhow to work the crowd and get tips. These are the things that make entertainers entertaining. You can only imagine our horror when we meet a new master who wants to play with us and they've never learned more than how to start a macro.
When you're ATK, you'll make contactswho will make your game great fun. And entertainers throw the Best parties but you have to be playing the game to hear about them.
Welcome to the entertainer profession. Welcome to the most fun I've ever had in a game!

Wooooohooooo! A live ent!
Also, what I do if I have to go into a cantina like theed or coro, first thing
is to look for who is afk, and put them on my ignore list if they are
spamming anything. It sure seems to cut back on the lag too!
But generally, I stick to places like theaters and player city cantina's
when I can (which is most of the time these days...)
