This idea would apply to all of us, in every entertainer class. What do you think?

Entertainer spy missions:

As masters of the social scene, we can add a level to the game and a level to game concept that few others can. This idea affects dancers, entertainers, image designers, and musicians. First, I've already seen a spy mission, so I know we can do them. Back in December, I was outside of Anchorhead and stopped while on guild business to see why an Imperial officer had a "i" disk above his head. He offered to give me a mission to spy on a rebel operative while dancing. I couldn't do it due to guild obligations and when I went back the next day the mission was gone. I've never found another offer like it.

I'd like to get entertainer missions like these from entertainer terminals, faction terminals, and/or all three faction theme park areas (Rebel, Neutral and Imperial). It would be neat to get faction and money by doing what we do best and have an actual plot line involvement in the GCW, even if we're neutral. This could be completely npc driven and it wouldn't have to be violent in any way. Several of our people went triple threat, master entertainer and two other master elite entertainer professions. Theyshould get the chance to participate too. This could be dangerous as well. For example, if we fail a performance objective, question, or get caught live looting him (picking a pocket or stealing something without killing the target npc), we could be put in a combat position that might very well cost us our lives. The enemies could be uber dangerous, like nova troopers if the entertainer was neutral or a rebel, or one of the Corellian Corvette style Rebel generals, types that even combat types would not want to solo; after all, as social beings our job would be to finesse the objective, not fight it. Combat could even be an automatic fail for some missions. These types of ideas could actually make us a valuable part of the GCW.

On that note, I even have an idea on how to help out our image designer friends with doing this GCW style even further. What about giving IDs the ability to temporarily buff people to appear to be other Overt faction members temporarily (or completely neutral), say for two hours. It would be invaluable for making people better able to spy on others. Neutral makes you unattackable but also unable to affect anything in the GCW. Overt other, would make you able to do the things that someone from the other faction would be able to do, as long as you weren't spotted or figured out by bases, recruiters or specific npcs (the identification chance being a factor of the npc or bases power level / against the level of mastery of the ID that buffed you). During this time, you could take advantage of the other sides facilities and benefits, but at the cost of an equal level of faction from your side and any action you take against your side while so buffed counts against your permanent faction score (for example, it's not a good idea for an undercover cop to shoot his fellow police). Neutral players could use Jabba faction to spend for this effect and take advantage of both sides of the conflict. Last danger to this buff, you are red to your allies, and your real allies are red to you, if you are a Rebel or Imperial, if you are normally neutral, welcome to the GCW.

Second Image designer upgrade idea for spying, let image desingers give people an anonymous tag for up to two hours at a time. The overt faction buff idea is kind of worthless if everyone knows you're Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker. Let image designers give people a tag and a numeric number that simply means you can't read there name, say, mrsmith234535. Thenumeric portion would insure no one used the name hiding to violate SOE rules of conduct while anonymous, SOE (on their side of the game) should actually flag people in this state since it might encourage some bad behavior as it first starts. The name buff would have no effect on tells or any other portion of the game, but you wouldn't be able to tell who the person was if disguised, from the name tag. For obvious game balance reasons, this couldn't affect bounty hunter missions in any way, they have investigation and spynet after all, but for the common person it could allow them to slip into being anonymous for a while. Also, it could be good for Jedi who wanted to go into town without attracting attention from those who do not have specific missions against them already. If this type of name buff is combined with the proposed faction hide buff and they are detected, the player spy / fugitive loses both buffs automatically.

Image desingers should be able to give themselves all of these buffs, making them the spymasters of pvp, since they can alter their stats and imagesat will as well. Dancers, Entertainers, and Musicians would have a lesser, but still important role in the pvp spy field, since we're still the other social master fields. Also all entertainers could buy the new Image designer buff powers to do their own spy missions or play gigs in normally hostile towns.

Hate to tell ya, but Image Designers can't alter their own Stats. They have to rely on other ID's to do it for them...
