ok i want to host a compition for entertainers at my city of four rivers... and here is the compitition. either solo ents or "bands" will put together a concert or play or what ever and perform in front of a panel of judges. and at the end the judges will pick a first second and third place winners. the prizes will be 3mil for 1st place 500k for second and 300k for third.each judge will give you a score out 10 and all points will be added and the highest score gets first etc... oh and 15k for anyone who competes just for taking the time to participate. if anyone is interested in this post hereand if i get enough people i will set a date. also if you are interested in watching the event check back here and hopefully there will be a time set! comments and suggestions are welcome. no entry fee what so ever, just my way of showing my appreciation to all the entertainers that get no loving!

Some things to keep in mind with an event like this:

85% of the players in the game don't read the forum. If you want to get the word out then you need to advertise it in-game. Have your PA members talk it up in the cantinas. Contact the entertainer PA's like Fatal Exceptions and ask them to spread the word.

Set a date and location now. If you're going to do it, then show your commitment up-front. Nothing turns off a potential contestant like a wishy-washy contest.

Cover the gamut of enteratainment in your festival. Hold a music contest, a dance contest, and a beauty pagent. Consider a picturesque location like one of the outdoor theaters. This isn't about XP so it doesn't have to be in a typical healing venue. Be sure that it's in a place that accessible to both Imperial and Rebel aligned contestants.

Hire the right caterer. If you choose an outdoor location that doesn't have a theater nearby then bring a master ranger or two along to setup the high-end camps for an outdoor party atmosphere. If you do it indoors in your PA city cantina then be sure that there is plenty of interesting-looking food and drink around. Hre an emcee who can keep things moving and keep people focused on the matter at hand instead of running around and having duels and other distractions.

Above all, be prepared for the reality that something like this is a lot of work if it's done right, and likely to be somewhat thankless in the end. The reward is having done it and succeeded. If you get some congrats and thank-yous from your fellow players afterwards then that's icing on the cake.

ok wellhow does 10pmcentral time next monday? we will do at the cantina in four rivers corellia. and i was hoping by posting on here that you guys that do read it might spread the word for me... an i have my PA entertainer ( Doasa) helping with this too so it should be good, i have faith in his ability to throw large events. as far as multiple contests based on your chosen profession i cant afford to do that, ( well i could but im not prepared to sink 9mil into it) its just a general talent show with large grand prize. im prepared to throw some extra money if need be fore decor and what not. if anyone wants to help me with this, with the finer details and such let me know, ill pay. but please spread the word. if it goes well we can make this a bi-weekly thing or something. i mean i guess if we end up getting hundreds of people then maybe i will break it up and make the winning prize smaller.. well see how much feed back i get up till we get close to the day... i appreciate the feedback from you
