Hi curious I am considering becoming an entertainer.
So I have two questions...
Why do entertainers group? Is it because they share
the money and the exp?
Lets put it in another way. If one were to target an
entertainer to tip them and the are groped does just
the one targeted get the money and the exp?
Thanks for your reply

no ther's not a share for tips also grouping is usefull for xps
xps you get is calculated by 3 factors
1) the instrument you play (higher instrument more xps)/or dance
2) best instrument played in the group/i think even dance but not too sure
3) how many people are watching you/your group
for n1 doesn't matter if you are alone or in group, for 2 you get more xps if you play for example with a MMusician who is using a narga than solo or even with a master entertainer using a mando, for 3 is more likely that people will listen/watch big groups (as they heal faster) or Mdancer/Mmusicians for buffs, so even in this case is generally better to be in an entertainer group
xps for entertainers are also divided in music/dance xps and healing xps
you get healing xps only if someone who have BF or mind wounds watch you or the group and xps you get is proportional to the BF/wounds you heal... so as many people heal more than just one you will get more healing xps.
note about point 1
for musicians even music improve xps but these are capped so is just necessary to play with the best instrument.
and now the real big benefit for entertainer groups.....
IS FUNNIER!!!!!
you can chat with other entertainer and i assure you that is very funny to hear the group chat comment of a dancer that is flirting with a customer
, you can JAM if you are a musician... you need some practice and to know well every flourish but if you find good musicians to play with is awesome, if a dancer you can also make corehographies (?) try to syncronize with your dancer comrades
last little advice... grinding entertainer can be fun... you have not to be mad about xps, the best thing is to find a good entertainer community and to play with them... you can have just 2-3 songs, or the crappiest dance but if you like this playstile and know how to play you will have a much fun as a master

Ok I'm a little confused about Grouping.
1) If you join a group and use your LS or Powers (while within 32m of other group memebers) you still gain visibility, correct?
2) If you join a solo group and go off alone and use your LS or Powers, are you still gaining visibility?
I'm a super paranoid Jedi and have avoided grouping to try and stay away from the BH terminals, but this makes getting missions that allow me to get good xp impossible and force me to rely on wild spawns, which are difficult to find (when you are looking for a specific spawn). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use a sologroup to get higher level missions but hunt very far away from them, I always hunt in a sologroup but off in the wild by myself.
To avoid the terminals, avoid humanoid NPCs and other players, of course.

i dont think i have ever lvled my jedi without a solo group.....
And so far i have not been on the terminals. Just use your common sense - and avoid NPCs, players, POIsetc etc.

Being in a group wont affect you at all unless they are within range (32m).

Being in a group - what about with 'allied' (ie, same-faction) friends, like guild members? Will using powers around them put you on the terms?

Yes. 32m limit still applies for "allied" friends, just at a decreased percentage.
