Thread: Got a questions about pauses between different dances/music

I was wondering why when you stop a certain dance, say like basic two, and want to start up basic one, why there is a pause? I was thinking it probably had to do with some buffing exploit or something that gives a quicker buff if doing that.
Only reason I ask is I love to see that pause taken away if there isn't any good reason on why its there. I would like to be able to mix and match dance moves.

Which explains a lot about the entertainment professions. The way buffs are granted is totally broken, internally. We can't self-buff because it would allow an exploit. We can't give music and dance buffs at the same time, because the devs broke it while fixing the "insta-buff" exploit.
We used to be able to change instruments, or take one step forward, and start up again straight away. Apparently that also led to an insta-buff exploit, so rather than change the way buffs are granted, they just put an arbitrary timer on something that entertainers have a legitimate reason for wanting to do.

yeah, when i want to change instruments this really bugs the crap outta me, and its not like I buff that many people cuz they all go straight for the buffbot....

But yeah, you're right, there was an exploit to give quick buffs, and the pause was presumably put in to prevent that.

That pause irritates me to no end in the following situations...
1) repositioning in dance when having drifted too close to someone... okay I can't do the Sultrina magic traveling flourish, I have to WALK to where I want to be. I've accepted my limitations.
2) changing instruments! GAH!
