It's a cool idea for minor infractions. Especially for unattended play ( AFK spawn camping, buffbots, spambots, macroentertainers, etc.. ). Would you leavea merchant AFK spamming in Coronet ( or any city for that matter ) when you were on the BH terminals?

Serious infractions should require action by the Devs though.

Treat "Publicly Animating While AFK" as a punishable crime, exactly like Jedi visability.Given a bit of code to support it, that could be something automatic and transparent to SOE, the server just does it.

Possibly allow CSR's topass sentence onplayers who have been /report'd for minor offences.

I like the fact that it offers a way for SOE to enforce desireable conduct, without resorting to banning a player or giving them a time-out for a minor lapse of judgement.

Repeat offenders or major screw ups still get shown the door of course...

lol, I can see it now... "SOE fully supports AFK play using the in-game macro system... Of course we also fully support the BH's right to blow you away while you do it."

Having a BH character and an Entertainer character...this idea makes me smile Of course, being a master musician, I have spent alot of ATK time and I can tell you: If this ever happened...The Bounty Terminals wouldn't have one NPC mission on them. lol

Well... I've just about got musician up to novice, and if it's anything like Dancer was, then I know I have a LONNNNG way to go. (Thank God I have 200K healing xp banked up from dancing after master)

It'd all be worth it if I was sure that Master Dancer/Master Musician would mean more than haveing cool animations for me to look at & being able to get in on a jam session that the rest of the world could care less about. If I knew that double mastery would mean that I'd be able to give full buffs to players who needed... no... wantedmy services because the botswere dead, doing that grind full time live would be worth it.

AFKentertainers I can cope with. I don't like it, but I can cope with it. I smile to the costomer and say 'Hi' and get the tip and they don't.

AFK spammers on the otherhand?

It isn't a grind if you enjoy it. Personally I like the group I've gotten involved in the Theed cantina. There are very few times that friends aren't with me to make it fun. We go to other places like starports and jam, we help each other with the quests, the dancers line dance and musicians pull together a full band and play various tunes.

I've been a master musician for 3 months and I leveled ATK with very little time where I was alone. I got to know the others leveling and since we became friends it carried over into our mastery thus forming the group I spend time with. I also got to know quite a few non-ents because I was ATK, they now come back to see our group not just step in the door, heal, and leave. I'm now working on the dance knowledge tree so I can /bandflo with friends to add more deminsion to the experience.

That is the difference in ATK and AFK leveling, you finish your mastery with a clue about what is possible with our skill set and a group of friends who you leveled with. It isn't surprising so many people who level AFK then disappear or drop the profession, they don't get to know anyone or their own capabilities.

Yes! When the Kreetles play at RP events, the banter in group chatis just as good as the dialog going on in spiatal. Sometimes it's a tough choice to decide what to follow. I keep 2 chat windows open at all times. The first one has a tab called "dance" that has everything spatial has except for system messages. The second has tabs for tells, group and guild. Sometimes I find I need to createa 3rd so I can follow what is going on.

If you think the entertainer profession is boring, you are spending to much time AFK or you are spending to much time with AFK entertainers.

Working throughdancer ATK was a great thing, I enjoyed it. (except for Formal... That was just too painful to watch... I had to push to Novice with Footloose.) I do enjoy dancing, and even though I'm a Master, and I've capped my dance xp, I still a lot of my time in the cantina dancing for the sake of dancing... No talking with the customers, cause I'm too busy stearing and managing /flo /change & costume changes. Because I like it. The customers don't seem to mind either. I have a message on a key explaining that "I'm very busy doing this blah blah..."No one complains. I changed my buff dance to Lyrical2, because I can be more active, I can dance for my customer, and I can be different from everyone else. I like playing music almost as much, and the better I get, the more I like it. Playing in a band that has a clue of how to sound good is great. I love it.

All that said... If I have to hear SW1 played on3 different low level instruments, with clashing /flos being played by every player in the room one more night....
