I doubt anyone here knows me, probably cause i've never posted here before, nor am i an entertainer (although i have gone as far as ent 0/4/4/4 on one server). But i just want to say thank you for being humble....humble as in not raising hell about ents being ignored professions, devs hate ents, etc. Pretty much for not doing all the stuff the smugglers do. I haven't encountered an Entertainer strike yet, i haven't seen any petitions, i haven't seen any "i'm quitting swg cause Ents are being ignored." I wish other profs would model after you. Ents have been one of the most ignored professions in the game, but you guys keep your cool and patience. Thank you for not raising hell. Thank you for your continuing healing and buffing services. And with patience and time, i'm sure the devs will turn their heads to you and make your professions great and worth your while
thats all, i dunno why i posted this, nor do i know if this makes any sense.

Well, thanks.
Actually, within our own forums, we do plenty of wailing and gnashing of teeth. I think we're just really good at keeping it out of most of the server forums and the other profession forums. Also many of us DO try to stay positive. We may be unhappy about the state of the entertainer professions, but we work just as hard at making suggestions to make things better as we do at scheming about strikes, petitions, and what-not.
It always kills me when people (usually combat types) say "Who would want to play an entertainer? They're boring professions!" Obviously some of us LOVE playing entertainers, because we've hung in there even though so many aspects are broken!

And those same combat people would drop their template in a heartbeat to move on to the next great thing. I've not trained or dropped a skill on my main character since January.
I don't think we can take credit for the lack of any entertainer strike. You can thank all the bots that would be there to take our place for that. It would kind of make it pointless.

It just means I'm loved.
It's one of the hazards of having a blue name. Likely people want to blame entertainers for the threat of losing their favorite buff-bot, and I am a convenient target as a representative of the entertainers.
Some of the corrs have tried seeing if the star rating option could be disabled for us like it is for devs and moderators. Many of us just turn the display of ratings off completely in our personal preferences.
Or it could be someone who just doesn't like me. *shrug* Doesn't bother me either way.

Just a random thought.. Sometimes you have to wonder exactly what message people think they are sending with the rating...
I posted a message that was offering some sort of positive message for non-entertainer... Don't recall exactly what, but it was probably stating that I would rather see something other than the removal of recursive macros, or that there was no proof ui action was going away and more likely was not.. Something that I don't see any reason why people would oppose... So... Does that mean by 1 starring, they WANTED to get rid of their macro functionality?
That's why it's best to pretty much ignore it. You can help make their efforts futile by making your minimum rating to display being 1 (So messages will never disappear) and removing the display of rating completely.

After I posted a bunch in my server forum about recursive macros, some guy startedgoing through all my old posts and 1 starring them all. Doesn't bother me a bit. In fact, I kinda like it. Keeps 'em busy, I figure, postingfewer flames and useless crap.

Honestly, the entire star system should just be removed.
It's just become a tool for immature kids to "be l33t" with anonymity
Oh, and as for humbleness...
It's all in Ceremonial with the Mandovial
A little of that and we calm down me thinks.
