Thread: Starsider New Years Party
An evening of celebrating live entertainment, fun, games and lots of disease
Anyone is welcome and Combat Medics will be on hand to disease the non-entertainers! The event is aimed at both having fun and supporting live entertainment by helping people with EH XP.
When : Saturday, January 1st 2005, start at around 10pm UK time ( 5pm eastern).
Where : CAKE guild hall, Mesric Sanctuary, Tatoinne, Starsider
Contact : Primary contact is Katier, also can contact Zaraf or Nosmina

Thankyou Jav, it most certainly is NOT a joke. I'm assuming chicken isn't an ent or he would know just how hard the EH boxes are for ents. As such a disease party is an excellent was of gaining that XP.

Obviously you can't read or you would know that I am indeed an entertainer. And not a disease party is nothing more then exploiting a system. While it may not directly be an expoit, its sure not a legit way of earning XP. Any time a person rushes through a profession they miss out on what that profession truely is.

Rush thru the profession? Son I was two boxes from Master Dancer for over two month...take a guess what those last two boxes were...yeah, that's right...HEALING EXPERIENCE...
I know tons of people who would have mastered their respective professions a long time ago if it weren't for the lack of healing xp...read thru the boards...yes it's dropped off 10 fold since last year...don't know how long you've played but when I mastered my first dancer, it wasn't that hard to get...now it's so painful, it's not funny...

Don't be so quick to judge others. Don't be so quick to accuse others of missing out on what the profession truly is. Had Sony not broken this profession long ago, such a party would not be necessary.

I'm not flaming you, I just don't support disease parties. Nor do I support Tumble monkeys and the people that use them. Nor do I support people that go AFK all the time; while I admit I do sometimes. It took me about 5 months to get Master Musician. Now if thats "good" or not is not the point. It took me about 2 months to get Master Dancer, because I decieded after Musician that it would be fun to play.
Yes I know the slowest block for us is the healing tree's, and I know that the healing tree's don't really offer us anything to use skill wise. But having a disease party is no better then supporting a doctor that used a tumble monkey to reach master, and then over charge for crappy buffs just because "he is around". It's no better then supporting the AFK Bots that everyone hates so much because they steal our customers.
Call me what old fashion, but I still believe this game can be turned around to how it was when it was first released. Before buffs were almost depended on, before every person on every server owned Composite armor, and certainly before we dancers realized we could cheat by using a CM to get faster XP.
Dispite your personally feelings about what this profession has turned out to be, or why you support this or that. SOE made every profession "easy" to reach master except for 1 or 2 trees. It could be Crafting for Doctor, Combat XP for fighters, or yes; even Healing XP for Entertainers.
And in all honesty, being held back by 2 blocks of healing XP really doesn't make you a worse dancer then it does if you are a Master. So rather then "Cheat the system" why don't you use the system. Rather then use CM's to do the work for you, why don't you heal people with legit wounds. Maybe Pilots? Because I still have 1000 BF, and I think most of my guild has 1000 BF. And I'm sure I'm not the only person.
JTL has brought life back to entertainers, if anyone here realizes that is totally different. There are many people that I know that walk around totally black bared, because it doesn't matter in space.
So rather then teaching the younger entertainers how to cheat the system with CM's. Why don't your teach then how the earn their XP legitimantly. Do whatever you wish, but when I goto this party, I will bring my wounds and BF.....not a lame Disease.
Seems a shame to muck up the invite with politics.
