I had a bit of a strange one last night. I was playing my instrument in a band, with dancers in the group too. I was not the leader of the group. I noticed that even though flourishes were being ordered, I was not getting any experience from them. My toon was performing the flourish just like the rest of the band. What's more, I was not getting any musical exp at all, only healing exp. The only way that I seemed to get any musical exp was to perform my own flourish.

Does this seem right? It seems like I should have been getting some amount of exp, if not a lot of it.

its right. you must flourish on your own to get xp. it was done to try and stop AFK dancers and musicians.
