Thread: The one true new entertainer correspondent
It seems the person responsible for setting user levels has met Tiaga in game. I can understand how they could have gotten the idea that it would take the entire community to have that much ego. Fortunately that has been straightened out, and I am the one left standing.
I am sure most of you know a little bit about me, as I have been an active member of the various entertainer forums since July. And for those conspiracy theorists, no I am not Thunderheart's friend, nor was I in the beta. I am just someone who has been an entertainer since I started, and I will be an entertainer until I quit.
I am also sure that many of you know where I stand on some of the more controversial issues. I won't even give it a mention here, as naming it gives it power to overtake the thread. What I will say is this; I am not here to represent my viewpoint to the developers. I am here to represent the community. That means everyone who has ever picked up a slitherhorn, or slipped into their dancing shoes, even if they needed two left shoes and a training reed.
At the heart of everything, I am a salesperson. I will be selling your ideas and your concerns to the people who make this game what it is. And as a salesperson, I need a product to sell, and I need to understand that product. That means you need to be prepared to defend your ideas to me, because any idea that is presented, I will need to be able to defend. It doesn't do any of us any good if something is proposed and shot down immediately.
I will also be representing the developers to you, the entertainer community. Which sounds a lot more glorified than it is. What that means is when there is news of interest to everyone, I will be here to share it. That does not mean you will be hearing news from me every day, or even every week. There are 35 professions as well as many non profession related components, and only a few developers. If you don't hear any news, that does not mean I'm holding out or keeping any secrets. More likely it just means I know as much as you do.
I hope this will be a new beginning for entertainers. The profession is not exactly at a high point right now. With that in mind, I will be doing things a little bit differently than the other entertainer correspondents. The entertainer profession describes a broad range of professions, and all those professions put together make the whole of the entertainer profession. There are bugs and issues with dancing, musicians, and image design. Ravenmist, NewJedi and Kwee are doing wonderful jobs representing these to developers. I will of course stand beside them, but what I would like to focus on is the future, and on the big picture of entertainment.
Finally, I hope I can count on all of you to stand behind me, because without the community, there can be no community input. To be a community, we need unity.
i think its a great idea to focus on the big picture. i think the devs really need to realign themselves with what we want out of this game, from the bottom up. being an entertainer isn't nearly as fun as it used to be, but hopefully we can all work towards makin it fun and exciting again.

If by passion you mean getting people's heckles up... I'm well on my way! I've only been around the correspondent forum a couple hours and I already have someone plotting revenge, a post reported to the moderators, anda boardadmin looking into it. All in all I'd say a good start.
Congratulations, I know you'll do your best for us all. Now to post my opinions on all your cool threads.
