Thread: Eclipse Awards Night! Need your advice, please!

Hey everyone,
Astral Fantasia of Eclipse is planning on doing an Eclipse Awards Night (similar to grammys, academy awards), where there are awards, performances, and food! =P
Here ta ask everyone if they got ideas on how this should work, ya know, award categories, special parts that might interest the crowd, voting system (this is a hard one for this game), and anything else that you find informative that'll help us.

Neat idea.
Perhaps have several people come up with award titles and be the presenters?
You could have little pieces of art or chance cubes or some other silly trophy type thing to give them when they win.
Obvious awards would be...
Entertainer of the Galaxy
Band of the Year
Performer of the Year
Dance troupe of the Year
maybe some other smaller awards such as best group flourish/lighting effect
When others have done the Galaxy Girls/Guys calendars, they have screenshots sent to them. This may be a helpful way to audition the bands.
One last suggestion. Have several bands on hand to play in between awards. Maybe have them each pick a song to play and they can be the Best Songs of the Year or something.

I'll keep everyone updated on this! The most trickiest part for us is the voting/judging system. It'll be really quacky i think.

I'd also add "most creative use of Lighting and Effects on stage"
perhaps, "Lifetime Achievement in <Profession>"
I don't know much about PvP... "Most honorable PvP-er"? as in least exploits used. maybe a bad category.
"Martha Stewart Award" to be judged on the basis of home decor (skill and/or actuall appearance), chef food prep, and merchant abilities.
I got nothing.
