I have a dancer/musician that I have been playing for a little while as an alt and the big problem that I run into is that when I want to play music, I am either too low to play the current song, or the band is all newer folks playing SW1. So, the newly formed Jick Enterprises has decided that the problem stems from only one cantina per town. Jick Enterprises is in the process of opening the Jick Palace near Coronet. The Palace is going to be a free cantina welcome to all, but we realize there is little incentive for folks to leave the safety of the city to visit a cantina. We are going to be providing various vendors and are looking to hire entertainers for an hourly fee to help get some folks out there.

The idea we were kicking around is that we would give 3k per hour for any entertainer that has achieved a master status, and maybe 1k for novices. Having played an entertainer, that is a bit more than I make for tips in an hour.

Doh, my puppy hit the keyboard and borked up my post. Anyway, I'm hoping to get some input as to whether these rates are fair or do the need to be adjusted, and I'm also hoping to find out what any of you folks charge. I have no clue what rate to give dancers, so any input/ideas you have would be great.

I'll have to consult the union to see if this meets scale.

Also we need 15 min. breaks between sets (paid) and food provided.

We'll provide our own gear, we're used to that.

Those look like reasonable prices to me (of course I would be getting the 3k/hr). I also agree with Kora that breakswould be mandatory unless there are medics available to keep the entertainers from passing out.
