What are Dancer and Musician Gig missions like? Where do you get them and do you have to be a certain level dancer/musician to get them? How much do they pay and how are they?

I get them by conversing with NPCs. I've gotten them from a Gungan Hermit, one of Jabba's thugs, a Bothan diplomat and a few others. All it requires is for you to go to the coordinates given (usually a hotel or cantina) and play (or dance) for 5 minutes. You get a message that the mission succeeded and the money's been put in your account. I had to play in an empty hotel bar once...well, empty except for the NPC natives...I usually use that time to ham it up for the audience, telling bad jokes and such.

Oh, forgot to mention...skill level doesn't seem to matter much as to whether or not you get offers. My artisan skill is very basic, but I've been offered crafting gigs, too.

And if you want a sure-fire supply of gig missions, talk to the Nobles who always stand next to the Dancer and Musician trainers inside the theater guild hall. Not the Entertainer trainer, go to the elite trainer(s) (for whichever type of gig you want. If you don't like the gig location (it's always on-planet), just abort it and ask again. I've found that in my situation (Rori: only two cities, one with two hotels one with one), I can easily get a few thousand credits with an hour's work, and gain music xp to boot.
