Thread: is it true the OMNI BOX is bugged?
No.
It is true that you have to keep your target on the ommni box (and nalagron, for that matter) otherwise you stop playing. But someone mentioned 'concentration' during beta and that seems to fit a role-play reason. Dunno if it's intended though, but it's always been that way.
Otherwise they work fine.
I use it a lot and haven't seen any problems specific to the ommni. What you're describing sounds like this issue:

Which happens with any instrument.
Both the Nalargon and the Ommni Box are bugged with /changemusic.
Using that command will kill sound from both, and the musician playing them will have to /stop then /start again in order to produce sound.
Fairly lame that our best two instruments are the most obnoxious to use.

See, I haven't seen that either. I use /changem with the ommni quite frequently. This is strangeness.
I agree about the obnoxious part tho. ![]()

When I try /changeb with ommni it will suddenly sound like there are 2 ommnis playing and you get that overdrive kind of sound... annoying.
Changeband is really bugged. (There is a reported and known exploit using it.) I have experienced the same as you with that command. But have you seen stuff like this using changemusic as the person above reported?
