I hope this isn't a well-known thing orI wasted my time posting and you wasted your time reading

Anyway, do you have toolbar (like me) that is set up for only music/dance stuff? Personally I have one toolbar (Ctrl F6) that has flourish 1-8 on F1-F8 and then some macros for short "solos" using that flourish under each one. The last box of toolbar buttons are for instruments and the reason for this post. Rather than having a separate button to start playing and stop playing, I combined them both into one. In the place of what used to be my stop button, I have a start/stop dancing as well as my start/stop music. Set up the following macro with Ctrl+A...

/stopmusic;

/startmusic [song]

This way, if you're playing you will stop, and the start command comes up too quickly to start you back ("Cannot start music while skill animating"). If you are stopped and not performing any actions you will get a "You are not playing music." message from the /stopmusic command, then start playing. Its foolproof and will give you an easy button to hit to start playing your favorite tune. If you wish, you can omit the [song] reference after startmusic and just pick one from the menu that pops up.

Hope this helps someone..
