Thread: Cancelled, leaving with a SUGGESTION
LostMetal, I have to agree with you. It got to the point where i have to turn off my speakers when i am in the cantina playing or danceing cause i would hear the same song over and over again. Even when i am in the cantina healing.
I think your idea is a good one. but other ideas would be who is to say there has to only be one band going in a cantina at any time. Everyone croweds the front door causing lag. The cantina's that i have seen are all nice size and can support several bands. This is a suggestion when the band is full and there are people just standing around.
It is boring at times being a musician or anyclass for that matter. When i first heard about this game is was excited. The way they had the skill tree and was gearing it towards the casual player. And being a StarWars musher.... WOW... mush with graphics. There would be more RPing in this game then in EQ. Boy was I wrong. Its the same kind of game as EQ but the exp and lvling is different.
I think if people started RPing and the Dervs started doing Events with feartured Characters this might help more RPers come out of the closet. I am an RPer and enjoyed my mushing. But this game is not going in that direction and has become a game of frustrating play.
Look at the missions for the entertainers. Now why would i want to go and spend 30 mins or more doing a mission to make 190 credits and not much exp. or stay in the cantina and make about the same or even more money and better exp???
I wish you well LostMetel and you find a game that you will enjoy playing. Cause it is your hard earned dollar you are playing with. and if its not fun to play for you then its not worth your hard earned cash!
You cancelled cause you didn't like being an entertainer?
Haha, son, you gotta pick yourself up a gun and go find some Rebels to shoot! All the fun of the game's in PvP! Trust me, used to be a musician myself.
I just cancelled tonight. I'm a casual gamer, and I found many aspects of SWG to be frustrating, to the point where I wasn't enjoying the game. One profession that I really enjoyed was entertainer, especially the music aspect. For many weeksI did enjoy playing music in SWG, but towards the end, I just became totally bored of playing only 2 songs all the time. Thus here's my suggestion .........
MUSICIAN SUGGESTION: Allow all musicians to play all the songs (or most of them) ... but use the player's "musician level" to detemine which instrument you can play.
Bye
If you weren't happy as a musician why not try artisan or scout or something?
