I am just starting out as an musician, and was wondering about a couple of things.

1. What skill do I need to perform bandflourishes? How doI execute them?

2. Is only the "clarinet" type instruments available in the novice musician tree, I would like to be able to add some rhytm to a tune if there are several musicians playing?

Anyone can perform a bandflourish by typing /bandflourish # (1,2,3..etc).

The only problem with them is first, timing, you need to do them when no one is flourishing/has flourishes queued. Secondly, only the person who initiates them gets the xp.

The clarinet type instruments are available in the Entertainer tree. However, the fizz has a different sound then the rest. I think the slitherhorn and fanfar sound the same. Not sure about the kloo horn. The mandovial, which sounds like a guitar at times, violinish at others, is available when you hit Master Entertainer. You get a bandfill, which is a neat little instrument, somewhere in the Musician branch. Nalargon(I think that's spelled right) when you hit Master Musician. Also an omni box somewhere in there. Not sure what else, but hope that helps. ^.^

Slitherhorn and Fanfar (and Trazz) have the same sound... and Fizz and Kloo Horn (and Chid (sp) have the same sound... just to clarify what was already said.

You are able to use the fizz already once you hit Music I, even though you can't make one until music II or III.

Don't bothering using /bandfill as most people only get annoyed by it. Also, when you have a group of people flourishing individually, the bandflourish will occur at a different time for each person (when their queue is empty) and so it is also pointless to perform one.

Well it's not pointless and people won't be bothered if you just communicate with each other.

Let them know you want to check out a bandflourish and surely they won't mind a couple.
