Thread: I refuse to tip AFK dancers/musicians

I play an entertainer as a second character just to "unwind". I know how many buttons you have to press and how macroing helps.

BUT I cannot begin to tell you how UNCREATIVE some of you actually are.

There are some really really good entertainers...people that probably have some of those skills in real life,...ie being outgoing, having a good personality, witty or charming.

I am sick of seeing people in their wife-beaters.

I am sick of seeing people just playing their sonbgs with NO flourishes and goining /afk

I am sick of seeing people hitting their base dance button then going /afk

Grab an pet that can do tricks or get a droid, get a costume, hot-key some funny one-liners, tell a few jokes.

This class can be the most fun IF you put your mind to it and be creative. It can also be the most embarassing class when you just /afk it.

I have lots of credits. Usually 50k in my pocket alone. I can heal my own wounds and my pets. If I run across entertainers that actually entertain I will tip them lots and lots and lots of credits.

But I see so many Twi-lek hoes dancing around in their skivies...everywhere I go.

Sure I can just click the "watch" button an look elsewhere.

But tell me you dont get sick of hearing those same bars of music over an over...

In short...You have two awesome creative classes to have real fun. Put some thought into your act, please.

Some do. They are more interested in paying for the healing than the entertaining. Meh, whatever floats their boat.

But some AFKers are devious and have macros that trick people into believing they're interacting (even if they do nothing but smile at random people, including droids).

Love Star Wars, but the few role-players I could find on the servers were outnumbered by powergamers who wanted only l337 l00t and mad skillz. I can't justify paying $15 a month to play a game by myself.
Still cares enough to interject an opinion, though.

I agree stand-up. I started an entertainer to also unwind, but I do go AFK sometimes for awhile. I just don't under any circumstances expect to get a tip when I am. I'm not performing a service. I am a robot when I'm not at the helm of my character. Don't tip AFK entertainers.

This is one of the more interesting rants I've read Standup. You're basically complaining about others not having the fun that is allowed them?

no hes basically saying put some thought into it instead of just the same thing over and over and over and over and over..... (you get the point)

if your talking about him moaning about people in there "skivies" i don't see how that affects there fun factor, and playing afk isn't fun either really... why? your not there
