Just to repeat myself again: I don't want /deny to make money. I want /deny to take back my sense of self worth from the people who abuse me while making use of my services. If that happens, I'll be back in the public cantinas, and heck--I'll probably even make some tips!

I agree Hypatian, that it shouldn't be used except in cases where someone is harrassing the entertainers, but you and I both know that it can and will be used asa tool for grief by some players.

On one hand the good musicians will be much more sought after, on the other hand, people might often go without getting their BF healed if griefers are demanding big tips up front to /undeny. I guess selfishly I could say that that would be good for me and earn me a better reputation as a musician that will play without a tip (and I have said that) but on the other hand, that's not seeing it from an outside perspective.

It has potential to be a tool used for griefing. That's my only concern about /deny, but I think it's a valid and fairly substantial concern.

How is using /deny to withold healing unless tipped considered griefing? Doctors aren't considered griefers if they refuse to heal unless tipped. It seems likejust one way of doing business to me. I don't think it will be a good way to get tips, but people can always go elsewhere for mind healing if they don't like it. If denied service I'd just ask how much they want for their healing and either pay them or leave.

I reread your post Waho, and nevermind my comments...for some reason I read yours wrong and thought you were referring to deny as a griefing tactic, but you only said it had potential for it...and I can see that...sorry...I shouldn't post so early in the morning...

If I walk into a cantina to find a dancer or group of entertainers extorting tips from their audience and demanding tips before /undenying, make no mistake: I will IMMEDIATELY start dancing and invite those patrons to /watch me for Master level healing for FREE.

Using /deny to retaliate against griefer patrons is one thing. Using it for extortion will do nothing but destroy what credibility our profession has left.

Instead of /deny, I wish the Devs would have implemented a command that lets us /reboot people who are dancing/playing AFK for more than 5 minutes It wouldn't work but I have to smile at the idea.

I was under the same impression until tonight. I traveled to Endor to do some site seeing....as a Rebel..I went covert but was still under a TEF. fine..I'll risk it. came across an Imperial in the shuttle.no problems. Arrived and saw an Imperial badly needing my services..so I'm playing and in walks 3 imperials and slay me right there as I play Waltz on the Mandoviol. Thankfully my friend got them and they had to clone. 520 Battle fatigue later they were wishing they hadn't killed me. Oh well....I walked away and feeling good...Grant it others had to suffer because I refused to play..so /deny ...oh yea...bring it on.
