Thread: Everyone, Proceed to the Front of the Cantina!

Nice idea, but most of the entertainers/musicians/dancers in public cantinas are attempting to level up. Unfortunately, the larger the group of active entertainers, the greated the exp reward. Hence, the 'large pack' in the front room.

Perhaps as more people become Master Entertainers/Master Dancers/Musicians there will be a better likelihood of more personalized entertainment in the side rooms - a room for Dances/Music 1 & 2, one for 3 & 4, and further for the combined Novice Dancers and Musicians etc with particular music being played and dances danced.

Might be a good idea for all active Master performers anyway.

But I agree with the others, right now it's not gonna happen.

Another reason for the entertainers to be bottled up is they need to be healed by medics with action stims.

So maybe when more medics have those cool healing grenades, we will see a difference.

Greetings, Entertainers. I am Torga Bayle, Scout (Kauri). As someone who always enjoys a good band or sexy dancing machine, I also relish the roleplaying experiencesin SWG. As a result, I can't help but notice the incredible bottleneck of activity that always occurs in the area just inside a cantina, rendering nearlyall of the intimate little rooms along the length of the place unoccupied. There can be 20 people up front, and not a soul in the middle or rear of the establishment.

It would be great to have some entertainment spread throughout the establishments at times. This would relieve the congestion, and would create a much more realistic-looking environment in which to have fun. I also thought it would be cool if dancers would consider send a /tell on occasion, offering a "private" gig in one of the side rooms -- for a price, of course. This would no doubt enhance the ambiance and perhaps even line a few pockets with some credits. I'm sure the wealthier "Master" characters would have some spare change...

Now, as I am not an entertainer, there could be a compelling reason for these bottlenecks of entertainment, but I for one would sure enjoy a mix of venues when there are 5 or more entertainers in the room. Thanks for listening, and I'm eager to hear your thoughts and/or ideas.... Thanks!

I agree with you and would like to see that happen, but the reality is that it most likely will not.

With some notable and wonderful exceptions, I wouldn't expect to find a lot of real roleplaying in the public cantinas. They are usually there for the experience gain or for the tips (and crowding the door helps them try to capture your attention right from when you enter).

If you are looking for a really rewarding experience, my advice is to either try to find those entertainers who are really into their role and roleplay with them, perhaps enticing them into those private rooms you are talking about, or visit a player-run cantina, which are usually less crowded and probably tend to hire people more in line with what you are looking for.

get a hunting group together, hunt till you all need healed.

goto the cantina and offer to tip 2 dancers and 2 musicians in a back room ala private gig

RP within the group about how the song sounds and how sexy the dancers look

listen to the music and watch the dance and when your all healed tip a decent tip.

no need to Rp with the entertainers except at the beginning and at the end.

the entertatiners can RP with themselves while you RP withinyour group.

that will be more realistic and give your so called immersion a reality check

Those side rooms are too small to contain the wandering of Formal2 and Lyrical2 dances, which are my favorites. I'll have to try practice keeping them more contained, but then my facing changes and I end up dancing with my back towards my audience.

i tried this last night getting everybody to seperate and hit the different rooms well a couple people wanted to do it. the people that took the front rooms got most of the tips. and in the back (where i was) we got verry low tips and pervs asking to cyber. well first of all people dont seem to want to go that much farther to get healed they like going to the front or the closer rooms. i really dont think those back rooms are gonna get much usage but someday it might suprise us.
