(reposted from another post of mine)

1. allow healing of battle fatigue in camps...why not?

2. need better missionpayouts for entertainers, especially for higher skilled ones

3. allow chance for entertainers to lull creatures with music/dance...ok, so this may be a little farfetched, but there are such things as snake charmers (its really the motion of the flute not the music that works) and notable quote "music can charm the savage beast" or something like that

4. allow moral boost for entertainers playing music in combat...the scottish played the bagpipe in combat for a long time...maybe they still do.....and when the United States invaded panama to capture noreaga, they played rock music to demoralize him when he was holed up in a bunker.

Are you sure about the healing of battle fatigue in camps? I'm quite certain that an entertainer can heal battle fatigue in the field.... I'm a scout by trade, but dabble in some terrible-looking newbie dances. As far as I know, it heals my buddies. Or maybe I am just truly entertaining them.

I think they are getting a big chuckle out of you and not telling you that their battle fatigue isn't moving.

Mind wounds can heal in a camp, I believe, but not battle fatigue.

Because cantinas are already empty - and cantinas represent the social nexus of the game. We want private cantinas to be viable before long. If they can get all their needs met in a camp, why would they ever come to a cantina?

Amen!

While I understand what you're trying to say here, the Devs have made it clear that they do not intend for entertainers to have any combat roles. To me that's fine - it's better to keep a clear delineation between combat and social roles or you're faced with a whole new set of balance problems you don't need.

I played a Bard in EQ. No thank you
