am I the only one that thinks that all but flurish 1, 2 and 3 in formal 1 and 2 look stupid?

Flourish 4-8 were added later doing a poor job of hand animating them. They will be replacing them with proper motion captured flourishes in time.

However I have found a use for them.. Find an impressive looking sword.. A katana or ryyk blade is good.. Equip it and use flourishes 5-8. You may actually be suprised.

heh, thought they looked too rought and unnatural to be motion capture

I'll try with some blade and see if I like it

I myself LOVE formal dance. It is much better than Footloose which makes you look as if you are having some sort of seizure. I only am doing Footloose atm because it yeilds the higher Dancing Xps and gets me to formal sooner.

ROFFLMAO!!! I refused to do Footloose and Poplock in public! I took the exp hit and did the better looking lower dances until I got past them.

A staff also works exceedingly well with Formal.

I learned formal dance this weekend, the dancer that taught it to me danced with a sword while I was doing footloose with a Combat Staff. After she taught me Formal I also got a sword and it looks really nice, I hope she drops by my cantina again soon, I bought the same dress as she was wearing except in a contrasting color, formal in this dress with a sword gets alot of compliments
