I like coming into the cantina in a city to chat with an entertainer and unwind a bit - if there is an actual entertainer around I always choose to watch them - even if it will take a bit longer to heal my wounds and BF and I always tip live entertainers.
If afk ents are all that are around I watch em and leave, no tip - as far as I can tell they are not interested in being actual entertainers, they are just grinding to master level so they can be a buffbot in a player city somewhere. This has resulted in my being on a lot of denyservice lists. I am fine with that - but leads to my question: if I watch a live entertainer in a group do any in the group that have me on denyservice get wound healing xp from me? I'd like their cutting off of me to be a two way street and I'd rather not help them in their grind to buffbot.

Ooh... now that's a good question, and one I haven't seen asked on the forums.
My guess, as I've never tested this, would be that no... /deny is not a two-way street. The group healing XP sharing mechanic is likely completely outside of the realms of /denyservice. /deny will just prevent you from getting healed by the /denier, but shouldn't do anything in your presented scenario.
I agree with you here... it would be nice to be able to withhold healing XP from someone who has /denied you. Seems to make sense. Although, I'd suspect it's a rare enough case that it wouldn't be something very high on any dev's list of Entertainerthings to look into, which is already low enough on the list it seems. Still, I think your reasoning is sound.
One thing you could do, although it might be unwieldy, would be to ask the live entertainer to ungroup for a few minutes while you heal, explaining to them your reasons. Often enough, an entertainer can get right back into their group, and a lot of live entertainers may well not only sympathize but fully support your wanting to be more selective in who gains healing XP from your wounds and BF. Just an idea that may work for you sometimes.

Great question and outstanding reply.
Just one thing to add: The deny service lists aren't a permanent feature. Generally, every time you log out, or get kicked from the game, it clears. For you to still be on those lists, they would have to add you to it again every time they see you, as you have to be within group invite range for it to even work.If you're getting hit with denial messages each time you walk into the cantina, then by all means, explain your situation to a live Entertainer.
Many of us don't group with the AFK anyway. No reason to help their laziness, and get them to buffbot status even faster. Ask if there's a 'Live Entertainer Group'. If there is, you know who to watch/listen to. If there's not a professional group, then I'm sure a Performer wouldn't mind disbanding for a few minutes to help you out (unless they're group leader).
Thank you for supporting live Entertainment.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give that a try next time it comes up.
(Thanks for being so polite to an outside poster too - wonderful contrast to the combat profession boards)

Oh dang, that's a good question.
I'm going to have to try this and see what happens - now you have me curious!

If you want to try and test this, Warryyr, I can do so with you. I can use the guild buffbot. :chuckles wryly
