I'm sorry for busting in on your forums, but I have to rant at a large portion of you.

Where have all the non-AFK entertainers gone?

I went into Coronet to heal some mind and BF, intent on doing one of my classic huge tips to a non-AFKer. TWICE I offered a 100,000 credit tipto the first entertainer to send me a tell. All I heard were "Heals are appreciated" and "Buffs will begin shortly" macros.

I know I have no right to tell people how to play the game, but what fun do you get out of starting a macro and not even participating in conversations with customers? It just makes no sense to me.

If the non-AFKers are hiding somewhere, please tell me where. I'd rather give my business to someone who is actually (God forbid) WORKING for it.

I think it depends on the server. On Starsider, many non-AFK performers are in the Theed Cantina, if not in player cities.

The people who get whatever it is they get out of paying $15/month to fire up a macro in the morning don't typically come here much other than to troll or to ask for macros. It doesn't make any sense to most of the active posters here, either, as to why they do what they do.

I looked about a little, and didn't find an Entertainer's chat channel listing for Valcyn. The one on Sunrunner is listed as being ENT. Join that chat channel and you should be able to find live performers, hopefully any time the server is up.

Just a thought...when folks come into a public Cantina where I'm performing, I emote. I don't actually tend to say much in spatial. Perhaps keep an eye open for that sort of response?

Theed may be a place I need to check out.

Emotes I don't mind at all. In fact, I have nothing against macros, really. My problem is when nobody interacts with me. A smile and a wave as I walk in is actually perfect.

Apart from the above advice, I'd also recommend you check your servers local Entertainer Chat Channel. All the channels that have been registered are listed on this thread. Sunrunner is listed as ent, so either:/chat join ent or /chat join chat.ent . I am not aware whether Vaclyn has a channel, but if you look under the directory, the naming conventions for entertainer chat channels don't differ much (ie. "ent", "eo<first letter of server name>", and "atk"). Through this channel you can find some great people to chat with whether you're out whether you're deep into the wilderness of Dathomir or in Coronet searching for someone who isn't AFK. You can use the channel to locate "live" ents of the given galaxy. Through it they can either get notice and come to you or you can find out where they are and go to them.

I know that on Bria, live entertainers as a demographic don't spend a ton of time in any of the static cantina's. You are more likely to find us in a player city cantina, entertaining in the streets, jamming inside the starport, hanging at the Gypsy Village, dancing at Vreni Island and even playing in ID tents. The fact is the lag and the spatial spam,not to mention the prescence of AFK's, BuffBots and rude customers,hinder our attempts at having a great time.
