Thanks for testing that, Tarot. I've been wondering if the scrolls were earnable before novice and especially if they're tradable. I knew there were reports of non-elites who had done the quests on TC up to the message about no reward being implemented (back in the spring), but I didn't know if it'd made it to live.
/hug (haven't seen you around SS much lately...so...yeah, here's hoping to see you around again soon.)

Just thought I'd say that doing the Theater Manager quest doesn't require Novice Musician or Dancer to do, as I thought it did. You simply can't use the reward until you have at least Musical Knowledge III or Musical Techniques III to rack up the required Music experience for Western, or Dance Knowledge III/Dance Techniques III for the Theatrical dance style.
I've mastered Dancer two or three times (and dropped it) but I currently only have Master Entertainer level dancing skills. I completed the Dancer portion of the Theater Manager quest and got the 'scroll' (I still really have a problem with it being called that...phenomenally lazy), I just can't use it. I wish I could display it on an end table in my house, but it's no-drop. I was able to put it in a droid, but that droid can't be traded with the scroll. So at least anyone who does the new performance styles had to have earned them.

I found this out on TC and have mentioned it in a couple of dancer forum threads.I wasn't even a novice dancer whenI picked up the scroll and found, to my dismay, that I couldn't do anything but look at it in my inventory . . . grumblegrumblegrumble
As IF an aspiring entertainer is going to give up hard earned XP toward mastering for a brokan dance!!!

Yeah, because of the XP caps, you have to have either Tech 4 or Knowledge 4... that's the only real limitation.
As long as you cansatisfy the NPCs, you can get through the Performances and Audition with just Ent skills trained.
I still don't know what happens if you train the rewards and then drop everything but Novice Ent though. Or if you drop Ent all together but retrain it later, is the reward still an option for you?
This was just too hard for me to test on TC.

I know someone unlearned all of Entertainer, trained back up to Novice Musician, and still had Western.

Actually, they just trained novice entertainer again. You only need Novice Musician for the moment you learn the scroll. After that you can keep playing it all the way down to novice entertainer, and even if you drop and relearn novice entertainer.
