Entertainer Archive
Thread: Entertainers -- the uber-combat class!
1. Make sure you have novice entertainer.
2. Get within "listening" distance of the enemy.
3. Equip the slitherhorn
4. Do /startmusic starwars1
5. *Very important* -- do not flourish!
In other words, play unflourished SW1 on the slitherorn at them.
This is guaranteed to have one of two effects. The enemy will either (1) run away screaming in horror, or (2) beg for mercy and agree to any terms whatsoever if you will just stop playing... or at least flourish!
(Note -- lest anyone actually try this, the above is a JOKE!)

That is not a bad idea actually. Even though it's meant for fun, I remember the good old Bard profession from Ultima Online...
There can be special instruments, with special stat levels on them (craftable by Master Artisans, so that they have another source of income in this day of the BARC Speeder), and with skills gotten on musician or entertainer, one can simply taunt or lure away NPCs, intimidate, root PCs, boost morale of groupmates, etc...
Same with dancers, who can hold special dancing rods or stuff like that to stun, dizzy, and what not to NPCs and PCs...
Wishful thinking. I'm not an entertainer, had created one but there's no incentive in being an entertainer nowadays anyway...
Which, turns out to be, an idea with a completely separate, unique thread for it
One of the only times I'm not unhappy for being unoriginal.

I declare StarWars1 being randomly flourished on a slitherhorn a WED (Weapon of Ear Destruction). We should hunt down and slaughter all those who are part of the Axis of Evil that perpetrate these teriible crimes of terror!
