I was in a band dancing next to my nalargon, slowly working on master entertainer (ceremoial kicks eopie's buns). Suddenly the song changed and I started playing right along with the band. I was getting dancing experience though! Dance xp along the lines of 60-80 and I was just working on Dance III w/ rythmic and basic 2. Crazy stuff, seeing as I was only getting 8-13 xp before I started playing.

What can I say but, there it is. Whoops!

Careful there Devs, you don't want to make this xp gain any easier, at least its hard for any LAMEr to gain the extraordinary xp.

Needless to say I'm a lot closer to being ME/MM now.

Yeah I saw someone doing this on my server and /bug'ed it. Hopefully they will track it down.

There's another bug I just reported Saturday where I saw a medic/musician sitting there NOT PLAYING, but healing and sitting... yet notes were coming out of her head and she was "playing" a bandfill. It was probably the same type of deal. I /bug'ed that also, though she would not tell me HOW she was doing it (I think she got the drift that I was not impressed with her using an exploit, and was afraid I would do just what I did -- report the bug to the devs -- heheh).

I think both of these are pretty well known...If you have an instrument equipped when someone uses the band command to change a song, no matter what you're doing, you begin playing the instrument. I ran into this my first day of being an entertainer about a month ago and when I asked about it, everyone in the group knew about it.

I've experienced the same thing Denisa, also never prior to the big patch.

Hmmm, I haven't encountered this but I do notice that sometimes I can't flourish for some reason. It looks like I'm playing music, there are notes coming from my mandoviol but when I do flourish it clearly says you need to be dancing or playing music to perform a flourish. So I /stopm then do /startm only to see others in my band have the same thing, but I can hear them play but as groupleader I get the song selection popup window.

I never noticed this before last week's update though.

Last night someone even started playing while I was sitting down and I automatically joined playing while I was sitting with my mandoviol, strange since I was the groupleader...

Yeah, It basically boils down to band commands being bugged. I have seen all those before and remember the /changebandmusic being troublesome.
