I am not an entertainer, but dabbled when I had the skill points available. My selfish concern is that there are no entertainers in some of the small outposts/towns (especially on adventure planets). I think my solution may also provide a solution for the tipping/AFK issues talked about here.

I would like to change the system from one of tipping to one of paying a cover charge or concert ticket. This more closely resembles reality. In this new system, there would be at least 2 NPC's in each venue - a Bartender or Hotel Manager and an NPC Entertainer.PC entertainers that want to join the band or dance for money would need to register with the bartender or hotel manager. When they register, they would be shown the current rate that the NPC Entertainer is charging and they would get to specify their own rate. Whenever a PC Entertainer sets a rate, the NPC Entertainer's rate will be changed to be 25% higher than the highest PC rate. This rate is specified as credits per healing 'unit' - 1 'unit' is the amount of healing that happens per time period when a novice entertainer does healing, better entertainers do more units in a given time (or however this works in the current system).

In this new system, the NPC's charge will decay by 10% every ten minutes (could be minimum, but I think zero is fine). This means that if an AFK entertainer is the only PC entertainer, then the NPC entertainer will become thecheaper choice after 30 minutes. The NPC entertainer should only have novice healing ability.

I would like the decay to only happen when there are only AFK entertainers present (or no entertainers), but the AFK flag is optional in this game. To make sure that the NPC entertainer gets cheaper, the decay must always happen. Unfortunately, this makes it so that active entertainers will have to re-register every so often to reset the NPC entertainer's rate.

A person looking for entertainment can still choose to watch/listen to anybody registered to entertain, but as they heal, they are charged. If they can't pay, they don't heal. When trying to watch/listen to an entertainer, the rate should be shown in the radial.

Entertainers should auto-unregister whenever they leave the venue (or get outside a specific range of the bartender/hotel manager).

With this new system, there would always be an entertainer available for healing, but PC entertainers would always have preferential rates.

I think tipping should be accepted as a group (if in a group.) The group leader could activate an ability...something like /sharetip. Everyone in the group would recieve a share of the tips, split evenly.
