I'm not sure if you can do this or not but can you set it so when you get a tip it makes the /tell beep or sends the tip as a PM?

The reason I ask is I like to thank everyone who sends me a tip but in a cantina its so hard to see when you get a tip. exp msgs and just chat fill the screen so fast, and changing the color only helps alittle. If you look away for evena second you can miss it .I missed a big one today and the guy got mad. I understand why he sent me alot of money and I may have been afk. I wasn't, I was just talking PM and missed it. I talked to him and he laughed about it but I still felt bad

So... IS there anyway to get a beep/pm when you get a tip ( only a tip ) or is this something we should ask for?

I've got seperate windows for group, spacial, tells, and system messages. I have tip notifications show up in a different color than other spacial text. I still miss them sometimes and have to thank people several minutes later. When you are getting loads of tells, a lot of group chat, and the emotes and people talking in spacial, it's hard to pay attention to everything.

yes, in your options menu there is a tab labeled "Chat colors."

From there you can specify certain words or phrases to show up in a different color. It helps a lot with catching tips, but I still manage to miss them Stretching the system message window would help, but then it's in the way.

Since I color coded the word tip and bank, I have not missed a single tip... I always keep an eye on the main screen and even when I'm focused on the chat window that red tips you above my character always catches my eye.

I think it's mostly a case of how much is going on. 90% I catch tips, but there are occasions where I'm getting loads of tells and a huge band all chatting in group chat, plus RP or whatever is going on in spacial.It can get extremely hard to pay attention to everything. I'm more worried about mistells and that instead of catching tips. I don't think people mind too much if you thank them late, but just make a point of reviewing your system message log every so often.

Now if only someone would tip me so i can see if it works!

Can you set it so tips has its own color? or will it always have the same color as exp and other system msgs?

I'd still like the /tell when you get a tip though
