With the new Entertainer ability to buff mind up to double stats, we are finding the Camp bug to be more and more of an issue. Entertainers are still ineffective in camps, even though the message you get when you enter one says they are. I know this bug has been around since beta, but I was hoping you could make a little noise on the correspondent's forum and try to get this pushed up the priority list?
Can you be a bit more specific about what bug you're referring to? As far as I know, entertainers work just fine in camps. Leastawise, I've never had any trouble healing mind wounds in a camp. You do know that you have to be listening (if it's a musician) or watching (if it's a dancer), right? You'll also find that a novice entertainer is going to be pretty slow compared to a high level dancer or musician. I haven't tried buffing anybody in a camp yet, but I've had no reason to think it doesn't work. (Note that we're talking the healing of mind WOUNDS here, not mind damage. Very few things in the game heal mind damage.)
If you're referring to the healing of battle fatigue, that's by design, not a bug. The whole point of battle fatigue (like it or not) is to force players to come into town once in a while and interact with other players. Look at it this way: There are hordes of combat types who hate having to come back to town. There are three entertainer correspondents (entertainer/musician/dancer) and two scout correspondents (scout/ranger) not to mention offshoots like creature handler who still carry around their ability to make camps. Do you really think that with all that pressure that SOE would be unaware of such a "bug" and not fix it, especially a "bug" that had existed during all of Beta as well?
Sorry to be bearer of ill tidings, but it's not a bug and it's not going to be changed. Doa search of the forums if you want to see all of the past arguments about this topic. Maybe you've got a new one that would convince the devs to change their minds. ![]()

Whoowee! That is a very comprehensive post, Slick! You win the award for Covering All Bases!
And just to help you out, I have verified that the buff works in camps. It has before, and it continues to work after the patch.
As a Master Scout/Skilled Dancer, I wondered what camp bug that was. But yeah, if it's fatigue, then that's a design issue.
And just to let the original poster know, it helps to have a descriptive subject line. If this was meant to be a private message to SlickRiptide, you can use the Mail feature instead.
Thanks, SR. I knew about the BF thing, what was I thinking? Put it down to not enough coffee before posting ![]()
Yep, healing mind wounds works. I should have made myself clearer. Once again, blame the coffee (please). What we haven't gotten to work yet are the mind buffs. Tried in camp, no buff. Tried in cantina, buff was applied.
I'm going to test this again today.
Sorry for the confusion...
