Thread: Entertainer missions useless
I think the base level for entertainer missions should remain at 150 to 200 credits, but missions need to pay more depending on your skill. I can't imagine a Master Entertainer taking missions which pay the same as for a novice. Master Entertainers should be looking at 500 to 700credits per mission, and those who go on to become Master Dancers or Master Musicians should get more, in keeping with their advanced skill.
Also, let's not forget that mission payouts need to cover travel expenses. It's no use having a Coronetmission stationoffering me a mission to dance in a cantina onTatooine for 400 credits - it costs 800 just to get to Tatooine. If I take two missions to the same placeit still only just pays for the ticket.
Finally, let's give greater rewards for entertainers who are willing to dance outside of the cantinas. If I dance in a hotel or casino, I might see one or two players, but I'm unlikely to get any tips. If I'm missing out on tips, I'm not likely to want to play in a place unless it recompenses me for my potential losses. Conversely, do NOT raise mission payouts for entertaining in the cantina - I'm gonna be there anyway, since that's where the tips are most likely to be, so why pay me for playing/dancingsomeplace whereI'm already making good money?
A zero difficulty mission should pay more?
You can complete these missions while doing what you will be doing anyway. I will dance, I can now complete two easy missions while dancing. Seems reasonable to me.
I could do delivery missions but I am a dancer.
I could do destroy missions but I am a dancer.
Why? I'll tell you why: because tips are bad. You can sell a couch if you're a furniture maker and you get paid for your craft. Noone can take your couch without paying you for it. But, as an entertainer, you just entertain "for free" and hope people tip you. Most people are too ungrateful to pay for the service that they willingly use!
If you need your BF and mind healed so much, just tip your entertainers! Even 100 credits is better than nothing.

I play an entertainer in the test server. Since there is nearly noone there, I have to earn money from gig missions... Usually I earn enough to be trained in more time I need to advance. And I don't have spare money to buy any new instruments (I can't even find a general crafting tool without travelling).
When I start my main character on live server, I used to pay my training with gig missions too. BUT they were much better : 400 each for 5 minutes of playing. I have to take one dancing and one music (we get them from the nobles in theater, not in terminal).
As I stated before in other posts, for ME, entertainer is a PROFESSION so I should be able to earn decently my life by doing so. But it is not the case. The only solution devs found is to ghetto ourselves in 'red light distrinct' in players cities to sell our body (soul ?) to have decent money.
