You need a slitherhorn. If you are a novice entertainer you can make one for yourself with a generic crafting tool.

Just thought I'd add: crafting instruments gives you music xp. Making 10 or so slitherhorns is a quick way to get Musicianship I, avoiding SW1 completely...

I currently have a general crafting tool but dont see that horn in there. Do i have to get a new one to make instruments?

You can make instruments with either a generic crafting tool (for the low-level ones at least), or a "Weapon, Droid, and General item" tool. On the tab with all the miscelaneous things (traps, camps, fireworks, powerups, etc), there should be an "Instrument" category about halfway down the list with "Slitherhorn" as an option.
