You are a lazy macrotainer on your way to jedihood. Please read the corresponding thread in this forum and the dancer forum. Thanks.

I feel I am doing something wrong. I keep shooting chubas with my FWG 5 pistol but it is taking forever to get pistol 4. Chubas used to be worth over 100 per kill when I was a novice but now they are only worth 70. It takes 70,000 xp to get to Pistol 4. This means I have to kill 1,000 chubas??? That is so boring! If I wasn't able to AFK macro pistol shooting, I would go out of my mind. Is there something I can do to make the profession less boring?
How does anyone ever become a pistoleer, the profession is so boring!
See, two can play that game.
The thing is, some people like going around killing things for XP, and think it is fun. Because they find it fun they will bother to go around doing something other than shooting chubas (chubae?). They will form groups, go on hunts, mess around on Lok, and have fun while gaining XP. Because they like it.
By the same token, shockingly, some people actually like being dancers, doing the dances, watching their toon animate, coordinating (via /bandflo) with other dancers, and socializing with other band members and/or patrons. Some of us actually (*gasp*) enjoy what the profession is all about. Just like some people actually (*gasp*) enjoy being pistoleers or carbineers.
And yes, there absolutely is a way to make dancing be non-boring. Stay at the keyboard, socialize with other people, time your dance moves to the music (if you don't think this is a challenge you are not doing it right), and actually play the role of a dancer. But of course, if those things do not interest you, then dancing can't possibly interest you. Just like pistoleer would not be able to interest someone who is bored by all forms of combat.
Note. I am not trying to tell you to stay at-keyboard in a profession you hate. But don't come on here and deride our profession and tell us that the stuff we love to do in a game is boring. We're here because we like the profession.
P.S. - My dancer is also a Master Marksman so I don't actually think using a pistol is boring. It was just an example.
