Thread: I,ve got the belly but wheres the cash
I started out as an entertainer. It is hard and takes a lot ofpatience to become skilled and make any money.
Some tips:
1. Go to the most crowded cantina you can find
2. Join the entertainer group (there is usually one)
3. Begin entertaining and don't forget to flourish
4. Greet people as they come in (helps get tips)
5. Be friendly and make a name for yourself by doing simple things for people
It shouldn't be too hard, just takes a while .
I've just started doing some entertainer skills. I find there are big tippers on the advanced planets, like Dantooine. Players there have tons of cash since they are doing higher paying missions. Those that actually tip have given me between 500-1500 so far. I've heard of others tipping more. You still have to do the things entertainers do to illicit those tips, just like anywhere else. Some players just don't tip, no matter where you are.
Besides the better tips, there is less competition with other performers for those tips. I haven't tested where you get better experience, somewhere alone with many players watching you, or in a group. I feel a greater service is being provided to the gaming community in an out of the way town, since all the entertainers in the game seem to congregate in one place.
Well, actually, if you want to make money doing non-combat missions, Artisan crafting missions pay better than delivery ones. All you have to do is get Novice Artisan. I've found that you can pick up crafting missions that start in Tyrena (Corellia) and end up with delivering the end result on Vreni Island for good money.
But that (horrors!) means being at least nominally a crafting class! Ooooooh, what will the world come to? /rolleyes

Entertainer missions are a bit on the iffy side right now. In the beginning, I'd say shuttle delivery missions are probably your best bet. Find missions to another city on your planet, take two of them, take a shuttle to your destination, complete the missions, get two moreback to where you started from, and just continue that loop until you have enough for your needs. Later on,gatheringsaleable resources withharvesters might be a better option, but shuttle deliveries are a safe and reliable way to amass a starting nestegg.
