Thread: Feeling a little stupid right now...
Been trying to link some of the flourishes in the 4 Exotic dances, and kept having the problem of /stopdance and /startdance exotic>x< causing to much of a pause.
Well just reading some of the messages here, it seems there is a /changedance command?
Just wanted to verify this, so I could be sure that I am a moron instead of just having a strong suspicion...
thanks =p
ok, well there is one problem solved...
/cry
Can I have my Dunce hat now?

/changemusic to change what you personally are playing.
/changeband to change what the entire band is playing.
Of course, these days you have to play the same tune that the rest of the band is playing so /changemusic is effectively obsolete.
One thing to note - dance flourishes are interruptible while band flourishes are not. /changedance in the middle of a flourish followed up by a new flourish will interrupt the currently running animation and start the new one. With some experimentation and a good sense of timing it's possible to chain dance flourishes together in a way that essentially creates a new dance. Go read Sultrina's Dance School over in the Dancer forum if you want info about tricks like this. I've seen her do some pretty amazing things.
Band flourishes have a fixed duration and so have to play out before the /changemusic takes effect.
