I hope some people read this other that entertainers...

Please tip the entertainers. Many people who start the game as an entertainer have trouble making any sort of good money. I started out as an entertainer and the truth is, every tip counts. If you listen/watch, you really need to give some money to the entertainers. Am I alone in this idea or what?

if you are looking for money, entertainment classes arent that great... hell, even as a master musican, i rarely get anything out of it unless im selling mindbuffs, which, at 3k each on dantooine, sell pretty well...

It is true that selling buffs helps, but I am talking about tips. People need to give the entertainers tips. I sometimes use a macro that "reminds" the people in the cantina that all tips are greatly appreciated. My fellow entertainers get angry when I do that and tell me to stop. If I am just reminding them (not begging them) for tips where is the harm? I just need money sometimes.

You might have better luck posting this elsewhere. Most of the people here are already entertainers, and you are just preaching to the choir.

The problem with reminding people esp. depending on the macro fequency is that in my experience it annoys customers more and make them less likely to tip. But that's my two cents, I also as an alt never tip anyone that uses any sort of scripted conversation macro since it cause unnec. spam in some crowded venues. The key though is to talk to the customers themselves and see if they mind, what annoys me and my clientele might not bother your s at all.

remember first and foremost that you are an entertainer and you play to the crowd, you need to find out what they like and dislike, what would make them more likely or less likely to tip, I don't play for tips or charge for buffs, I let everyone tip and pay as they see fit.

Know thy audience, and through that define yourself.

Best place to get good tips is the med center. I made over 10k in tips one night in a matter of like 2 hours. Granted tips for my dancing would be nice too heh, but I make a living otherways. Soon to be a tailor and craft outfits solely for dancers and entertainers. Plus our PA doenst have a tailor so. Oh yea, New Found Glory are awesome!
