Smugglers can use their own spice, Cher can use their own meal and drinks, Doctors can use their own buff on themselves.

So why Dancer and Musician can't buff themselves,think its a fair question, sorry in advance if this has been debated before.

And if someone think that indeed they shouldn't be able to do so, please tell me why i'd like to know your opinion aswell. Thanks you.

Not complaining at all just wondering why. Since you are able to interact with your char by targeting yourself with ctrl-1, i though it could be easy to do, like target your char then type /watch or /listen.

But i'm glad Devs will have more time now to take care of few issue like this (if its indeed an issue). I'm ok with the current system, just it would be cool for entertainers to be able to buff themselves aswell.

Complaining about it won't change anything for now. It's not a designed-in limitation that the devs can turn off at will. You can't because you can't. It's that simple.

You see, the mind/willpower/focus buffs are all based around the /listen and /watch game mechanics.

You can't watch yourself or listen to yourself.

Therefore, you can't buff yourself.

That's all there is to it. Changing it will require either that the listen and watch functions be re-coded (and likely broken in the process) or that some new game mechanic is coded to replace the current implementation.

With vehicles out of the way, the devs are finally getting some breathing room to look at issues like this. Regardless, it's not a trivial fix and therefore will take some time and imagination to implement. All three entertainment correspondents have raised this issue with the devs so they're well aware of it. They just need the time to design, code, and test a replacement for the current implementation. That means we're stuck with the current situation for the forseeable future.
