Thread: Does anyone visit theaters?

I've noticed there are some beautiful theaters around, but they are always void of both entertainers and fighting types. Most people when they want to heal follow the game's instructions and /find a cantina. How do we get people into theatres? Would love to start performing shows in one of those!

i'm forming a band, and once that gets into an upward motion i am playing on having us play the local theater. But as of yet the most i've done is run around and look at theaters. i agree, they are very cool.

I love the theatres. In beta a group of us moved our audience from the cantina over in to the theatre to put on a short concert for them. It was wonderful to see them enjoying the plush red seats whilst we performed with the band on stage. Looking forward to when we have bands with decent repertoires - looking forward to travelling across worlds with them

You can find theatres with the /find command. I forget the string, but look under guildhouses: there is an entertainer or theater one, that is it!

Forgot to mention... I made a comment in the cantina last night, as I was Fomal dancing into tables and people left and right, that we should try to move to a theatre soon. Several of our regular customers told us to tell them as soon as we moved! Woot - we have a fan base!

I agree. Ever since I was running around in beta going "Oh my god, this is beautiful!", I've wanted to put on some plays and such at the theatres. As soon as I get back home (I'm actually performing at the Edinburgh fringe for the next two weeks so I haven't got access to my computer) I'm going to try and form a little theatre troupe on Rori.


My girlfriend and I have been discussing the things that are possible for a show and we've come up with a few things we could try. I think the main roblems will be lack of lighting and furniture (unless the dev's come up with some kind of Stage Manager option).


The Show will go on!

I tried to sell master musicians in Theed on the idea of using the Theater for upscale shows but I was the only one there for days. I advertised but no one came. The Theed Cantina was ALWAYS full of new players, and the group was usually TOO big for everyone... I really thought the idea of an upscale location was a win-win situation.


Guess not.
