Thread: Lining up dance moves?
Is it possible to chain together several dance flourishes without interruption? I know it can be done with song flourishes.
Also, what is the difference between "Basic" and Basic2". The moves look exactly the same to me.
Unfortunately the dance flourish moves don't quethe same asthe song Flourishes do. Currently you just have to time it.
You can make a macro that has the pauses timed out for a dace routine. That would work.
Example
this one is not timed out... just an example of the syntax)
/StartDance Basic;
/flourish 1;
/pause 3; /flourish 2;
/pause 4; /flourish 5;
/pause 6; /flourish 8;
/StopDance;
/pause 3; /bow;
This would put pauses in between the flourishes for you and you could even make several of them and string them together to provide you with some basic move sets that you interchange and mix depending on the mood. I do this for my songs, so I can have good form. With an A section... a B Section then a reprise of A with a Coda. etc. I'm sure dance routines follow a similar pattern. Hope that helps... for the timing you will have to work it out on your own.. which is a good thing as it allows you to develop your own style.
Yeah, like starwarsgold says, the 'advanced' dances are only different in the default loop between the flourishes. This results in a nearly imperceptible difference, since most dancers spam flourishes as much as possible to get experience for their time.
If you're not happy with that and see it as an animation copout that begs to be rectified --and soon-- join the club. Hopefully, some day, all the dances will be noticeably different, easier to string together, with more than the four specific flourishes (or three as in the case of formal) and four style-breaking common flourishes.
If the dancing profession is to stay as it is for the duration of SWG (due, perhaps, to the difficulty of designing new dances and doing the motion capture for them)then to the whole profession in general and to the variety in particular I have one word to say: 'meh.'
