Just wondering if any entertainers liked or disliked tips given by medics that involve healing their action damage instead of tipping with credits.

As a Twi'Lek I love it. If I jam a little too much I'm bound to have to stop and sit down, and its not like they still dont tip with cash, no more or less than any other profession. I think Medics do it for the xp just as much as for a tip. I don't expect anything from anybody comin in, so anything is a plus for me IMO. Money I make by doing missions and the like . One time a guy tipped me with a gun that was better than the one I currently used, now that I REALLY liked .

Now if I was a Rodian and had that super high stamina (think those bothan's do too) I probably wouldnt like it as much as I do now . I've wathced a Rodian do pop-n-lock non stop for about 2 hours, was tempted to restart as that was a race I did think about being...along with bothan (plannin on Smuggler master and Musician master...though rethinking mastering musician atm and going with novice dancer novice musician).

I don't think anything should be turned down when 75% of the people that go in aren't giving you gifts of money, items or the like; nor should they unless they so feel obliged. When I'm the only entertainer in there, I usually get more tips...probably to keep me there. And when I'm the entertainer healing you, the artisan that somehow got 700BF they usually appreciate it enough for a tip .

Well, bothans don't have super high staminas, we have super high quickness. But the effect is basically the same. As far as tipping in heals? It's ok. I don't have nearly as much downtime as my bandmates, so they're usually the ones being healed

But to tell the truth, if I read the medic boards right, you folks need all the extra cash you can spare usually. If you got something extra and can toss it our way, that's wonderful. If not, that's ok too. Gotta heal up those fighters so they can go out and make more money. And aquire more battle fatigue.

And since the topic has been opened, I've been tipped with some pretty strange things already. Some clothes, which weren't so odd. A wookie only piece of clothing, which was kinda odd. And a jar of berries. That buffed Action and Quickness. That was the really funny one. The scout that gave them to me seemed so happy about it.

Well when I am in the cantina or other venue, I am there to dance and socialise. Any tips are a welcome bonus but I certainly don't expect them. I would actually rather have a medic hang out with me so I can keep on dancing for everyone all night than have them tip me as they need the money but the material to make stims. Yes I need money to build up my wardrobe but I found a rather nice noble in the theatre who wanted me to dance for her and she paid me... so there are other ways

Well, as a medic and an entertainer, I see both sides of this.

I will always heal the entertainers when I am in a cantina...if I am watching/listening I will heal them as much as they need to keep going. If I too am dancing or playing I heal them while I am resting between gigs.

It is something that helps us both...they get to keep dancing and getting XP, and I get XP for healing them. I try to tip some money as well when I am watching/listening...but that really depends on how people tipped me in the hospital that day. If I have nothing to tip...I can't offer anything but heals. Since I spend all of my work time as a medic healing non-stop in the hospital I have no time to run missions...there are always far to many patients for me to just walk out on...so I am utterly dependant upon tips from my patients. If I am tipped well, then I always tip my entertainers well after work. I try to pass it around as that is just how my chracter is. She is a caregiver by nature and helps everyone she can.

Last night I spent almost 7 hours in the hospital doing healing. I only made about 4000 in tips which was a very good night! That isn't much I know for 7 hours...I could have run delivery mission and made 10 times that much...but I like healing those in need. When I went to the cantina to heal my blackrotted focus and willpower, I tipped my dancer 500credits. I also healed her as she danced. She was very happy with both the heals and the tip...I don't think she had gotten one that big before.

Unfortunately not all medics can tip money...we don't usually make a lot. Dancers can entertain multiple customers at once...getting multiples of xp and increasing the potential tip base for a given time span...medics can only heal one patient at a time. That lowers our ability to make money and xp both. I know when I dance or play music I gain xp so much faster (I went from starting novice to having Dance II in about 30 minutes playing....but it took me hours just to get First aide I as a medic).

So, I say tip in heals if you can and in credits if you have it to spare...but never feel bad as a medic for only offering heals....we just don't make much money to offer unfortunately. As an entertainer, I am always happy for the heals and expect nothing more.

This is very interesting, thank you! One thing I'll mention is that not all heals give medics XP. Often times when I heal an entertainer I use tendDamage which gives no XP... it raises my battle fatigue (but that's ok, you guys will heal that anyways ). I think from the general public, entertainers have more sympathy than medics who some ppl seem to view as scrouges and money grubbers. I also think that entertainers have more sympathy for medics than most other professions have for medics. Anyways, thanks again! And if there are any more opinions I'm still interested.
