Okay, just curious what the rest of you people think about them. You see them from time to time but most don't stick it out. Most seem to be in it for a quick laugh, more to amuse themselves then anything but don't stick with it since that type of personality could never do it for long. The amusement would wear off shortly and they get bored and move on.

What about the Wookiees that take it seriously tho? There's a couple of them out there. Ones that seem honestly decidated to the profession and play a Wookiee because they feel its just another way to entertain someone. There's lots and female dancers out there. Even a few male dancers. Won't see many Wookiee master dancers tho and some of them definately feel their doing their part to make peoples days a little more fun and relaxing.

Lets be honest here tho.. they probalby aren't going to get the tips that female dancers do. Probably closer to what the male dancers get is my bet. Most players are still male and want to watch a female is some sexy outfit wiggling her hips. Understandable. Then you have the female players who appreciate watching a male dancer instead. Then there's other people who think its fun to watch a big ball of fur spin and shake its rump all over the dance floor. Not as many people in this catagory I don't think. So if your a Wookie planning on making big tips, I wouldn't count on it.

So, the rest of the Entertainment community, what do you all think? Can a wookie that takes its role seriously and is there to just try and make people smile find a place in your band? Or do you think the whole idea of a Wookie dancer is stupid and wouldn't want one around?

Well it's not stupid if you enjoy playing a wookie dancer obviously. For me a big part of dancing is going to be the costumes that are available once some high level tailors are out there though, and I don't see a wookiee pulling many of those off! heh

Yeah, the wookiees can't wear any of these pretty costumes. A Definate downside

as long as the wookiedancers are having fun, i dont mind them at all. games are supposed to be fun =)

I like the wookie dancers they seem to enjoy it more and arent like all the twileks that think they have to go taking there cloths off every time they dance. Of course they are already naked but thats not the point.

I play a female wookie dancer. Most people have never even seen a female wookie. I think she is beautiful, slim, curvy etc. I keep up a good patter with the audience and I get very few tips. They think it's odd, or funny but they still tip the human and twy dancers.

btw.. we can wear those outifts. It's just armor we can't wear.

exactly why I prefer to play music...and steer clear of the "bars" on Tatooine. They're packed, give better xp and the like...but just not my style.

Call me a prude, but the whole Exotic Dancer thing is lost on me.

I love em. Some of those dances look more 'tribal' if you will with them. Others looke more exotic (not erotic). It's a site to behold. The only ones that make me chuckle are the huge fat ones. But there's some male and female dancers doin it on Bria, and I love seein them come in. They're rare, they do the saem moves but somethin about them is great to watch. Who cares if they can't wear "beautiful clothes" I still tip em (even though I'm a musician) if I'm watching instead of playing. And they do have nice curves even with that fur over most of it .

Hehe, should stop by the Corbantis server and visit the Theed Cantina. Theres a Male Wookie dancer there a lot especially in the evening named of Tatharo. He's a Novice dancer so has poplock and popular and all that stuff. I think poplock looks great with a wookiee doing it. He seems to be pretty popular but doesn't get a lot of tips. Odd how that works.

As for tips, well, the game is like others. It's mainly driven by a young male demographic whose hormones automatically pull their eyes and their wallets to the female dancers. As a male dancer, I do it for the fun. I don't expect to make a living at it.

However, If beta is any indication then you WILL see the entertainment market mature over time. The thing about being an entertainer is thatpeople appreciate a friendly face more than anything else. Banter with the customers, a special greeting and some chitchat with regulars, and even a wookie dancer can earn some tip money. The naked twileks tend to fade out as people get wise to the fact that they're being manipulated by their hormones for cash and stop tipping them.

Of course, with 10-20 servers online, there may never be a shortage of hormone-driven customers to keep the naked dancers employed.

I haven't seen anything funnier than an overweight Wookiee shaking his rump! I love it, and I say let's see more of them!

Those Trandoshans, on the other hand...those are just downright scary!

I only dance because I like to copy the dance moves on the floor in my room for next time I go clubbing (Im SO just kidding) . Wookie dancers are great! Dancing is all about having fun, not taking your clothes off to attract some prepubescent horney boy for tips. I'd have to say the most amusing thing I've seen in a cantina is a wookie band on Ahazi.
