Thread: Hairstyling? How do you do it?
I'm also one of those zabraks who wants hair, so I started as an Entertainer, hoping to just practice on my self when I have time.
Problem is, I see no way to do this, no buttons, no way to select myself, for one thing. Anybody have some step by step instructions?
apparently, the command is /imagedesign
simple as it sounds, it is, but this took me around half an hour of digging to find. hope this helps ![]()
Hey there,
Okay this should be quick and comprehensive: Some of this is explained in previous replies, some is not.
First off, Much of the later hairstyles that were available in beta have been moved to high-tier Image Design skillboxes. That means lower level I.D.ers probably won't be able to do much with anything other than human hair. If you're going the route of I.D. there are a couple approaches you can take:
1. Messing with your own image or
2. Messing with someone else's.
If you want to go at it solo, just type /image self and you will open up the I.D. Interface. If you want to raise I.D. exp on someone else, they must first be in your group. Then target them and type /image. (This is short for /imagedesign).
Please note that if you I.D. on yourself, the exp gained will be considerably less than if you do it to someone else. (example: changing eye color on someone else is 75xp, changing it on yourself would be around 18). You will gain I.D. exp much faster if you find someone willing to let you play around with their image for a while.
The Image Designer interface is just a series of windows and buttons (Hair, Eye, Face, Lip color, etc)that are quite self-explainatory. When you have finished with the change you are going to make, the player you are trying to change will get a confirmation box asking if they want to Accept or Decline the changes, and it allows them to see the change you made before they hit "Accept". If they accept, you get exp. If they decline, you do not.
That's the basics of I.D. pretty simple and intuitive, I hope that helps! =)
Target yourself by typing Ctl-1 ... the number one key above the keyboard ... not the number pad
Then type /image
That will pop up the menu. Not even sure if you need to target yourself .. I think someone mentioned the /image command defaults to yourself if you have no one targetted
Thank you so much for the helpful replies!
I think my character's boyfriend is going to hide from her once he gets in game. ![]()
