Thread: To Far Away? Sorry sure this is posted somewhere else, no time to search
Yeah, it is wierd for sure. I have been moving between a Guild hall and a cantina usually1 or the other works. Also, sometimes but not everytime even with the message I seem to get the buff. I can watch in spatial and see the message that the time of my buff has increased, but technically the messages told me I am not watching/listening.
LOL. I even took a trip to an ID and made my dance/musician as fat as possible so she was easier to see. ![]()

Well if it's any comfort it's not just you. People have offered a variety of "fixes" for this bug but none of them work reliably for me. That being said you can try...
3) go outside the building and have them try to start listening or watching and then go back inside
I usually recommend patrons having this problem to go outside and walk back in (not run), and more often than not seems to clear up the problem.
I've noticed that it seems to happen to me in the same buildings I have trouble losing my droid in the floor.. don't know if the two are related, but having patrons exit and come back in by walking seems to fix the problem. It's like the server thinks the character is somewhere other than where the client displays them as being. (Much like the droid falling through the floor).
I don't have much reference to the NPC cantinas since I usually perform privately or for PC cantinas, and I've noticed that the droids (and the "too far" bug) seem to rear their ugly heads most often when the structure has a lot of the foundation is sticking up above the terrain. The cantina I usually perform in at my hometown rarely has either problem (although I do have to baby my droid through the door... the cantina is private for the Jedi to use as meditation chambers) but the foundation isn't very high up off of the terrain.
Like I said, I have no idea if the two are related, but they're the only points of reference I have trying to figure out how to prevent the bug from happening, and in most cases in my most frequented cantinas, having them exit and come back in walking seems to clear up the problem if it does occur. (Same with my droid, maybe 1 out of 20 times it'll drop through the floor at my hometown cantina, and probably run into the "too far" bug with about the same frequency there.) But everyone else's mileage may vary when it comes to this remedy.
