We have enough spam in the NPC cantinas from NPC stormtroopers. Your idea is funny, but I really don't think we need more spam, and if I'm in the middle of a song I don't feel like having to run out of the cantina halfway through it.

I proposed something similar when the Imperial Crackdown was implemented. I suggested having cantina owner NPC's periodically scan the entertainers but require a response from the entertainer. In my original idea those not responding would be given a TEF and all other entertainers would be able to attack them - since so many were holding weapons it only made sense. There are plenty of fun and imaginative solutions to the problem. Too bad none of them will ever be implemented.

What if instead of attacking, the gangster comes in and asks for a dance? If you give it to him, you get double XP for 20 minutes or something. That would reward people for being ATK without them having to stop if they don't want to (I would ignore him for instance since I am already a double master).

But Ikewe is right... they'll never implement any of the ideas we have had. They don't mind AFKing. As someone pointed out -- since most AFK bots are 2nd accounts, they allow it because it increases their profit margin.

My fear would be that since most Entertainers I come accross are AFK ones, that they would just give up the profession! Then where would I get my inspirations?

Maybe you should ask yourself why you only ever find afktainers instead.

There have always been /afk entertainers, but recently, there's been a huge reflux of them (at least on my server.) My guess? Grinding and converting FS skills while you sleep, or respecing (some people are still in their respec period.)

It's sad, really. This was once a great profession back when this game had community.

If something like this were implemented I would so be hanging out non-stop in the npc cantinas and watching just to see the AFKs get gunned down. I would be happy for weeks!

I personally enjoyed when the Corsec were bugged and came in to Coro cantina and did that same thing. They attacked me too, but people always saved me because i was awake and could scream for help!

I love the idea thata pop-up from a scan would make me respond or the attack would ensue, I could continue dancing instead of evacuating and it wouldnt be disruptive to socializing either.

Oh if only we could get this ....*sigh*

Bwhaahaha!!! OMG that would be wonderful! I'd be taking screens all the time and egging on the NPC's shooting them down. Wait. Maybe give the ATK performers a stun gun. I know..I know. Griefing tactic. But it's nice to think about, aye?

ROFL! Its a clever idea it just needs some polishing. Maybe have him say different things or instead of shooting everyone maybe he demands some sort of response. I don't know I like it for some reason maybe just because it means afk spammers will get shot lol. I see griefing on the way though hehe.

why dont they just do it like survey. make a pop up like "an npc wishes to watch you dance for 5 minutes. will you accept?" and you dont get xp until the box goes away
