Is there anything like a guitar for musicians? Or is all the instruments winds? This woud be a diapointment to me because I was thinking about beingakind oftraveling solo guitarist. If not oh well guess im stuck blowing through pipes the rest of my entertainer days...

Oh ok thanks. Butthats kind of odd..shoudnt a musician get any instruments in the musician track? Thats kind of making a musician take other skills for no reason...

One would think... In beta we tried to get them sepertated the threefrom each other. dance, music, and ID but wedid not manage to make that happen beofre retail.

I think the reason is that they wanted some reason for folks to Master a profession. Then if you see someone on strings, you know they are a master, and it sets them apart. Several of the newbie professions are set up that way, e.g. brawling. You don't need to learn unarmed and 2hand and polearm to become a fencer, but if you become a master brawler, you get a special fencing move. It is more of a gameplay balancing issue rather than a roleplay issue, otherwise you are right, there is no rp reason for a guitarist to learn how to dance. Just think how many musicians there are, and if you are one of the few who can play strings, then you will be special and can find gigs everywhere. Horn players like me will be a cred a dozen.
