I was just wondering what the best/longest mind buff a master musician or dancer can do. Recently I went into a cantina looking for a mind buff (I'm a master BE so it would really come in handy as far as DNA sampling goes), and I was expecting something along the lines of what a master doctor could provide to the action or health pools; Something along the lines of +1000 for an hour or two. But the master musician I talked to said the max he could do was 10 mins.I'm wondering if this number is standard, or if he was just a bad musician?

It takes about 10 minutes to apply the buff, but it should last you about 2 hours.

The buff takes roughly ten minutes to apply. If given by a master, it should last about two hours and should double the focus and willpower of the recipient.

As both a Master Bio-Engineer and a soon-to-be-Master Musician (I hope!) I can tell ya, you want both a Musician's and Dancer's buff. Masters if you can get them, but Virtuosos (top of the Music Technique line) and Enthrallers (? I think that's the Dance Technique title) can do 75%, which is quite respectable too. Start by doing /listen to the Musician and /watch to the Dancer from whom you're going to get the buff. When you get the message that they're focusing their attention on you, start an alarm for 10 minutes (in Ctrl+O -> Alarms). Might want to turn the slider for Sound Effects all the way up, and maybe lower the volume for Player Music a bit, so you can hear the alarm go off. When the alarm goes off, /stoplisten and /stopwatch and you should get a buff that doubles (in the case of Masters) or adds 75% on top of your existing blue stats. If the performers appear to be losing Action while they perform for you, try to keep 'em healed. Your buff will be the better for it.
