Thread: Entertainers and the GCW (cross-posted)
(cross-posted from the GCW Forum)
As most of the focus of the GCW trends towards the combat types, I thought I'd request SOE to include more entertainer participation in the GCW.
Perhaps a factional instrument? (i.e. banned instruments/songs/dances for Rebels, Imperial sanctioned instruments/songs/dances for Imperials.) As far as historical precedence goes, Scotland's bagpipes were banned for a while due to conflicts with England.
Have some kind of political rallys that entertainers can organize? And earn faction points for those who watch. However, it would activate the TEF for entertainers. (Though, maybe totally non-combat entertainers would be subject to arrest or have their instrument removed rather than simply getting blasted. Or perhaps they cannot play ANY music or provide entertainment healing for a certain amount of time? The Empire does want to control what the average citizen sees and hears.)
Anyway, I'll quit rambling, but bottom line is that I'd like for the non-combat types to be able to make a difference in the GCW. All I can do now is take Rebel delivery missions for FP. It gets old and doesn't really make a difference in the grand scheme of things anyway.

I have two words: Mata Hari.
Why can't there be entertainer-based missions where a performer (either dancer or musician) has to use their skills to inviegle information out of the enemy? Heck, why can't there be Image Designer missions where youhave to go change the appearance of an ally so they can infiltrate the enemy for information gathering purposes? (Though I've no idea how it could be coded for NPCs to accept the ID changes.)
