Thread: a solution for the afk grinders
I wish they just had an auto-master button. Get novice ent. Press the auto-master button. It charges you the total amount of training you would have to pay for to learn every skill in the tree (I believe it's 155,100 cr). Press OK. Loose 155,100 cr and become an auto-master Dancer. The ONLY thing you can't get is the titles. It would be "Dancer" instead of "Master Dancer" (and none of the lower titles like "enthraller", since you never really were one).
Since most of the people AFK grinding have plenty of money from grinding one or more other professions, I think this'd be a great option.
In fact I'd love to see it added for every profession. Let people just auto-level, if you're going to allow AFK grinding. They amount to the same thing anyway, the AFK just takes longer. Neither requires any game-play to achieve.

As much as would like to disagree with your idea of auto-leveling or paying for it.. you are right... What's the difference. They don't want to be in the Cantina dancing or grinding anymore than we want them there.
"Move along, there's nothing to see here..." Indeed
some suggestions:
- Increased speed of mind buff exclusively available in Player Cantinas
- Increased healing speed exclusively in Player Cantinas
- Allow masters to register on the world map as masters in the cantina
- perhaps increase time for buffs/ heals slightly in non-player cantinas
These things would bring the audience to player cantinas. the AFK game is not affected: no xp change at all. All this is meant to do is entice the audience to come to player cantinas. After that, the owner can decide who's in the cantina and who's playing/dancing there. AFK maybe, maybe not, but in a player cantina at least the choice is up to us.
I don't think the speed increases/decreases would have to be very much in order to get a combat player really ready to get a fast buff from a registered master at a (conveniently located and closer to the hunting grounds) player cantina. perhaps a 2-3 min difference in time required for the buff. Slow end being in Coronet, fast end being in Leppy's Lounge, etc.
Again, the xp would not change for us in my scenario. If we, say, put a multiplier on healing xp or music xp in player cantinas that would only draw out the AFK to player cantinas. And the people we are trying to apease here don't need xp anyway. It's all us masters that have the issue, not the grinders, so let's just find ways to bring the audience to us instead.
I think my suggestion leaves the AFK game unchanged and they won't notice if no one tells them while a trifle more combatants will come to the player cantinas to experience some masterful music.
Inviting thoughts and critiques.
you mean meeting other musicians? or customers?
I see your point either way.
It would take work to bring in the numbers you would see in Coronet to a local cantina.
I personally grind afk while I'm at work, but I use to stand in one of those side rooms of the cantina, so I dont bother anyone - and I tell the group leader to kick me if someone need a room, if the group goes full.
PS. Im no holocon grinder, I want to play nice music

I hate to tell you this, but if that is your reason, you're in for a disappointment. Look at it this way, at novice entertainer, when you get musician I, you get double the number of instruments and double the music. That gives you four times the sounds you had at novice entertainer. At master musician, you get 12% more music and 25% more instruments (Discounting ones that sound the same). You will rarely get to play Virtuoso with others, leaving you to play it solo, which gets old very fast. The nalargon doesn't sound that great on half the music anyway, so you'll end up doing pretty much the same stuff you did before master.
Anyone who wants to play Virtuoso can come play with me on Monday nights at 5700 5900 Naboo on Chilastra 8pm EST. about 2 hours and an audience is provided.
Look me up if you're on Chilastra.
