they dont give any xp.

you have to play for around 10 minutes (without interruption) in the
cantina or theater where the wp is, after this you get payout between
100 - 200 cr.

if you plan to play or dance in a cantina for this time, grab yourself
two missions based there... is not really much money, but when you plan
to be there anyway

just be sure to pick the right mission type (Dancer/Musician).

Not only don't they give any XP, but for a higher level dancer or musician they will effectively reduce it, because you are forced to dance for 10 min straight, and most dancers cannot do this without resting at least once on the higher dances (which re-sets the timer and makes you do the whole mission over again). So if you spend the entire 10 minutes doing rhythmic2 because you need to do that to go 10 minutes without resting, and you could've been doing, say, Lyrical or Popular2, you will get a lot less xp in the end.

My advice is, do it early on (first 2-3 dance boxes in Entertainer) but after you get higher up in the tree, it isn't worth it. Not for XP, certainly. If you are stuck for cash (say, to get off a planet and no patrons around or they aren't tipping or whatever), then of course do it. But otherwise... totally not worth it.
