Thread: Core systems: persistent settings in swg. Voice opinions on /denyservice?

big woop. deny any one service and the will just watch someone else.
you entertainers do nothing but **edit**.
if any thing else healed BF no one would watch you at all so just thank the maker that you have an audience at all.
But dear, not one person is b1tching against on /denyservice? What entertainers have you been seeing?
However, there is no reason why the UI can't be more reasonable. Make it a list like the ignore list, and have it work the same way. That seems to be the easiest way to do it.

I roleplay. I am a Rebel. If a covert Imp comes in, I deny service. I will not heal someone to go out and kill my brothers and sisters. As far as jerks go, I use it on them, too. It gets their attention real quick and usually gets an apology real quick like. I see denyservice as a game mechanic helpful in both situations. I wish the list was persistant. For now, I use /notepad to maintain a list ofknown griefers that I want to never ever heal or help in any way.

Ah I've used it, but it's pointless, really. They can justwatchthe spamming AFK guy in the corner, and they're usually all healed by the timeI'd use it on them anyway. I had one guy tell me he could still hear me, all smug. I was like, "You mean you haven't turned the playermusic slider all the way down yet!??!"
I tend to stay in the more remote cantinas now- since I'm no longer chasing XP. It's much more pleasant, and with a guild chat, it isn't as lonely as you'd think.
There /denyservice would really hold power- the only dancer for 1000's of meters....

I agree. Sadly, I didn't even know I had an option to deny service.
I like it because it's one of the few crowd-control options open to me- someone wants to /lick me, or emotes something obscene, I ignore them, but it doesnt stop them from benefiting from my dance efforts.
As a roleplayer, consider this akin to giving a client the cold shoulder, subtle gestures that make sure they know they're unwanted and not included, as you focus your efforts elsewhere. That kind of discomfort would give someone enough unease that he wouldn't feel "relaxed."
